ClubGG vs PPPoker: App and Format Comparison

Two club-oriented apps, but different published device paths, game evidence and tool rules. Compare the exact feature you need—not a claimed overall winner.

Marcus Bell is an editorial pen name used by the Deep Poker team. About our bylines.

Official product and rule pages checked 26 September 2026. The older PPPoker Union article is dated 2019 and is identified as historical evidence, not a present-Club audit.

The short answer

Both products publish Club-based poker, but neither feature list proves what is running in a particular Club today. ClubGG's current Union page documents management of affiliated Clubs. PPPoker's official About page describes creating a Club, customizable games and Global Tournaments. Their apps and terms remain separate.

The most actionable correction to our older comparison is on Mac: PPPoker's official site now links a Mac installer. It was wrong to show PPPoker as Windows-only while attributing a Mac route only to ClubGG. Other old claims about a specific table mechanic, portrait layout and a blanket HUD ban were not re-established from the current sources and are no longer presented as facts.

Side-by-side product evidence

This is a comparison of what first-party sources actually describe, not a rating of Club quality, traffic, account eligibility or gameplay outcomes. Row links explain source scope.

Device paths: read the exact official listing

ClubGG's About page lists Android, iOS and Windows. Its US Apple developer listing states compatibility with M1-or-later Macs through the iPad-designed app; that is not proof of a separate native Mac client or performance on every Mac. PPPoker's current official site links Android and iOS stores plus Windows and Mac installer files. We verified the presence of those links, not the installation or behavior of the clients.

If desktop use matters, confirm your OS and processor, get the file only from the product's official channel, and check the current regional and account requirements. A download link does not prove that a particular game or Club is available to you.

Which games are actually documented?

ClubGG's official Club MTT settings help names NLH, PLO and 6+, and describes four-, five- and six-card PLO configuration. PPPoker's About page names NLH, PLO, five-card Omaha, Open-Face Chinese poker, customizable Club tournaments and Global Tournaments. These sources support the named formats; they do not rank one platform's live table selection above the other.

OFC is a distinct poker game, not another Omaha card-count option. A published format does not certify current availability, exact hand rules or a specific Club's settings. Read the in-app lobby and the table's own rules. We have not confirmed the older page's 3-1 Hold'em, All-in or Fold or Calltime claims against current official material, so they are not used to pick a winner.

Clubs, Unions and product sections

ClubGG's current Union documentation describes affiliated Club structures, agent and player management, and game settings. PPPoker's current About page describes private Clubs and separate Global Tournaments. An official PPPoker article from July 2019 describes Clubs pooling players in Unions, but that dated article does not prove today's Union configuration or a named Club's activity.

ClubGG also has membership products outside the Club section. Likewise, a PPPoker Club and a Global Tournament should not be merged into one ruleset. For either app, identify the exact section, responsible administrator and current game before inferring access or feature behavior.

Built-in statistics are not permission for outside software

ClubGG's Smart HUD page expressly describes in-app statistics, including a VPIP icon in Club Games. The earlier comparison called third-party trackers categorically prohibited on both apps, but the public sources checked here do not establish a tool-specific ClubGG Club Games ruling. Its built-in HUD and an external HUD are different questions.

PPPoker's Community Rules restrict unauthorized third-party software that modifies or interferes with the service or accesses, intercepts or collects its data. That is a substantive restriction, not evidence that every named statistics tool has the same status. Do not assume a tool is allowed merely because this guide cannot verify a blanket prohibition. Ask the relevant platform about the exact tool and version before using it.

A practical choice checklist

  1. Name your actual game. Distinguish NLH, PLO card count, 6+ and OFC; then check whether it is offered in the Club or product section you will use.
  2. Check your device. Compare official installation path and OS requirements, especially on Mac; do not rely on a Windows-only description of PPPoker.
  3. Identify the responsible party. A Club administrator can answer its Club questions; the platform handles its account, software and policy rulings.
  4. Ask before using outside tools. A built-in stats panel says nothing about third-party software permission.
  5. Check current terms and location. Neither an app listing nor this comparison determines personal eligibility.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does PPPoker have a Mac version?

The official PPPoker site currently links a Mac disk image as well as a Windows installer. That is stronger evidence than the previous Windows-only claim, but we have not installed or tested either client. Check current requirements for your own device.

Is ClubGG or PPPoker better for Omaha?

A platform-wide winner cannot be established by counting a few format names. ClubGG's tournament help lists PLO four-, five- and six-card options; PPPoker's About page names PLO and five-card Omaha. Check the exact variant, rules and live tables available in your chosen Club or product section.

Does PPPoker offer OFC?

Its official About page names Open-Face Chinese poker. That establishes a published format, not a guarantee that a particular Club currently offers an OFC table.

Are all third-party HUDs prohibited in both apps?

We cannot substantiate that blanket sentence for both products. ClubGG publishes its own Smart HUD. PPPoker's Community Rules restrict unauthorized tools that modify, interfere with or collect data from its service. Ask each platform about the exact outside tool before use; absence of a verified rule is not permission.

Does Deep Poker represent either platform?

No such platform appointment is established by this comparison. Deep Poker publishes this guide and separately describes its own relationships with certain Clubs and Unions. Those relationships are not evidence of endorsement by ClubGG or PPPoker.

Sources and review limits

Primary public sources checked 26 September 2026. The single older PPPoker article is explicitly dated. This was a document and visible-link review, not an installed-client or authenticated-game test.

We did not install either app, log in, inspect a current Club or Union, test an outside tool, measure performance, adjudicate eligibility or verify support outcomes. “Not established” is not “unavailable” or “permitted.”
